Terms for using NextGen

These Terms apply to NextGen IPTV Player Xtream M3U on iPhone, iPad, Mac Catalyst and Apple TV.

Important: no media or IPTV service is included

NextGen is a standalone player. It does not provide, sell, resell, host, recommend or endorse channels, playlists, streams, films, series, EPG data or IPTV subscriptions. You must supply a lawful source and remain responsible for your use of it.

1. Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and NextGen IPTV Player ("NextGen", "we", "us" or "our"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

You must be legally able to enter this agreement. If you cannot do so yourself, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms and supervise your use.

2. What the app does

NextGen imports and plays user-supplied M3U playlists and Xtream-compatible connections. Depending on platform and access tier, it may display provider-supplied catalogues and EPG data, remember personal library state, enrich metadata, download media you select, and synchronise supported personal state through iCloud.

We are not affiliated with your provider or with any channel, broadcaster, studio, rights holder or streaming platform merely because its user-supplied data can be displayed by the app. Technical format names describe compatibility, not endorsement.

3. Your sources, content and responsibilities

You are responsible for:

obtaining every playlist, provider account and media source lawfully;
having all licences, subscriptions and permissions required to access, play or download the media;
complying with copyright, broadcasting, contract, geographic and other applicable restrictions;
keeping provider credentials and devices secure;
checking whether downloads or offline copies are permitted by the source and rights holder; and
supervising children and controlling any user-supplied material they can access.

You must not use the app to access, copy, download, redistribute, publicly perform, resell or otherwise exploit content without the necessary rights. You must not bypass DRM, access controls, geographic restrictions or provider limits, or use the app in a way that violates law or another party's rights.

4. Provider connections, playback and downloads

The app connects directly to the source you configure. Availability, quality, accuracy, buffering, EPG data, artwork, metadata, authentication, geographic access and provider uptime are controlled by third parties and can change without notice.

The app can store provider catalogues, EPG data, artwork/metadata caches and user-selected offline downloads on your device. NextGen does not operate a server that relays your provider streams or hosts a library of media for you.

User-configured sources may use HTTP. HTTP is not encrypted in transit, so credentials and requested resources can be exposed to network intermediaries. You accept this risk when choosing an HTTP source.

5. Accounts and credentials

NextGen does not issue IPTV accounts. You are responsible for the validity, security and authorised use of the credentials you add. Do not share credentials through support email, Discord or bug reports.

The app protects local connection secrets using Apple platform security and encryption controls. If you enable Sync with iCloud, supported connection fields are stored in encrypted CloudKit fields within your private native CloudKit database. 6. Pro features, subscriptions and purchases

Free access may include limits such as a playback preview, playlist or favourite allowance. Pro products unlock app functionality only; they never include channels, media, provider credentials or an IPTV subscription.

Purchases are offered and billed by Apple through the App Store. Product names, prices, billing periods, free trials (if any), taxes, renewal terms and eligibility are shown in the App Store purchase sheet and take precedence over general descriptions elsewhere.

Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless cancelled through your Apple Account within Apple's required timeframe. Manage or cancel them in Apple's subscription settings. Purchases and restores are validated with Apple and RevenueCat. Refund requests are handled under Apple's rules and applicable consumer law; these Terms do not remove any mandatory refund or cancellation right.

Entitlements can require a network connection for initial validation and may be removed when a purchase expires, is refunded or is revoked. The app may permit bounded offline access after a recent verified entitlement.

7. Optional Sync with iCloud

Eligible Pro users can enable Sync with iCloud to synchronise supported profiles, playlist connections and personal library state through Apple's private CloudKit database. Provider catalogues, EPG data, downloads and caches are not synchronised.

Sync depends on your Apple Account, iCloud availability, storage quota, network connection and Apple services. Conflicts, delays or service interruptions can occur. Turning sync off stops future transfers on that device but does not delete local or existing iCloud data. You remain responsible for data you need to retain.

8. Optional analytics and diagnostics

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics remain off unless you opt in. You can change that choice in Settings. Data categories, exclusions and revocation limits are explained in the Privacy Policy.

9. Licence and acceptable use

Subject to these Terms and Apple's applicable usage rules, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on supported Apple devices you own or control.

You must not:

copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, rent, sell or commercially exploit the app except where law expressly permits;
reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law;
interfere with app security, purchase validation, usage limits, networks or services;
introduce malicious code or use automation that unreasonably burdens a provider or service;
misrepresent an affiliation with NextGen or use the app to harm another person; or
use the app or any third-party service in violation of its terms or applicable law.

10. Intellectual property

The app, its original design, code, branding and app-owned materials belong to NextGen IPTV Player or the relevant licensors. Your provider data and media remain subject to their owners' rights. Using the app does not grant you rights in third-party content.

Metadata, artwork, EPG information and other third-party materials may be incomplete, inaccurate or governed by separate licences and terms.

11. Changes, suspension and termination

We may update, change or discontinue app functionality to improve security, comply with law, respond to platform or provider changes, or maintain the service. We may suspend access to app-operated features when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security harm or unlawful use.

You may stop using the app at any time. Removing the app does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription or necessarily delete existing private iCloud data.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that every user-supplied source, codec, playlist, stream, EPG feed, metadata result, download, device or third-party service will work, remain available, be lawful or be accurate.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

Subject to that qualification, we are not responsible for losses caused by an unlawful or unauthorised source, provider outage, third-party content, ordinary service interruption, failure to follow instructions, or events outside our reasonable control. We are not responsible for business losses arising from personal consumer use of the app.

14. Apple terms

Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its support, except for obligations Apple separately accepts under its App Store terms. Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce the licence restrictions in these Terms as third-party beneficiaries. Your use is also subject to the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and App Store usage rules.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the United Kingdom, without removing any mandatory consumer protection or right to bring a claim in the courts available to you under local law. Contact us first at nextgeniptvplayer@gmail.com so we can try to resolve a concern.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the app, services or law changes. The effective date above will identify the current version. If a material change requires action or consent, we will provide an appropriate notice.
